#6 Complimentary copy of Cardiac CT Angiography Manual and DVD with lecture series to allow didactic training at home before arrival.
The primary purpose of the Cardiac CT Angiography Manual is to educate medical professionals in all relevant aspects of cardiac CTA and calcium scoring in a simple, practical and concise manner. The Cardiac CT Angiography Manual is a complete “how to manual” that covers the topic of cardiac CTA from beginning to end. It assumes very little background knowledge and is written in very simple language.
In addition, many difficult concepts that make learning cardiac CTA difficult are simplified and put into context. Frequent, easy to understand figures and drawings are used to depict difficult concepts. Included in the text are technical concepts related to CT scanning, calcium scoring, necessary concepts specific to cardiac CTA, keys to successful cardiac CTA imaging, a suggested guide to an organized and systematic reading approach and much more. A comprehensive list of difficult to accumulate clinical pearls are highlighted throughout the text. A complete section on clinical applications and concepts specific to these applications is also included.
After reading this work, the reader will be taken from novice level to a level that will allow him or her to begin clinical training experiences and will serve as a reference and review for those who have already completed training. This work makes 'difficult to understand' concepts easy to comprehend with the aid of simple, intuitive diagrams. Concepts and terminology are completely and simply defined and explained. The book also compiles an extensive amount of relevant and difficult to obtain information in one place to serve not only as a simple educational tool but also as a reference once the reader is fully trained in using cardiac CTA

Foreword to The Cardiac CT Angiography Manual by Matthew Budoff, MD, Founding Board Member of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and President, Society of Atherosclerotic Imaging and Prevention
The Cardiac CT Angiography Manual is the first book of its kind; it is a handbook with concise and practical information related to the performance and interpretation of cardiac CT. I have known Dr. Pelberg since he entered this field, and I am quite honored to be able to provide this foreword. The editors are to be congratulated on presenting the most up-to-date, scientific, clinical, and, particularly technical aspects of cardiac CT in a handbook format. The subject of this text is very timely given the current enthusiasm for cardiac CT and the large number of clinicians who are flocking to the field. The authors have compiled a list of important information, clinical pearls, and references. I know this will be another significant contribution to the field and will be seen as a ‘must have’ in every lab performing cardiac CT today.
I have been blessed to be able to grow with the evolution of cardiac CT, and it is pleasing to see where we have arrived with 64 detector CT. This will be yet another significant contribution, making learning cardiac CT even easier than it has been to now.
