#15 Radiologists welcome.
We train both Radiologists and Cardiologists in our courses. We have trained many satisfied and prominent radiologists (among them, Peter Franklin and Frank Siedelman - www.franklinandsiedelman.com). The interaction of the specialties adds greatly to the learning environment. While the ACR requires only 50 mentored cases for certification, the SCCT/ACC/AHA requirements for cardiologists are more stringent. We believe this more in depth experience is beneficial for the radiologist as well. Our course adds significant clinical experience, pears, context and insight for the radiologist. In addition, we focus on cardiac anatomy for the radiologist who may have less experience in this arena.
Radiologists have commented that they understood many more of the clinical issues related to cardiac CTA after the course. Cardiologists have said that they benefited from the detailed anatomic and imaging knowledge that radiologists possess. Radiologists also add much to the understanding of noncardiac ancillary findings. We support a collegial environment.

Tremendous learning experience. Very intense, hands on, with highly experience physicians dedicated to teaching as much as possible in a four day period. It is a "boot camp"...but you have a tremendous experience. I believe it equals the experience of six weeks for a typical "fellow". You are treated "first class" during the whole program. It is the most outstanding learning experience I have ever had. A rating of "5"...is not enough. This is a perfect "10"!

This was the most incredible learning experience of my academic career. As a radiologist I have directed CME courses myself, and understand the complexities of these endeavors. This course taught me how to read CCTA, what the implications of the pathology meant to the end-user, and what other tests could be used to correlate or augment the CCTA. The faculty was stupendous and was always available to answer any questions. The Technical staff was the finest I have ever seen. SCCT should use this course as a Standard for all other training endeavors. Lectures and syllabus materials were equally as germane. Bravo!!
