#11 Systematic approach to reading cardiac CT is emphasized.
Through repetition you will be taught our systematic approach to reading cardiac CT angiography scans. We have learned through students attending our course that other courses are random in their teaching methods. We adhere closely to a strict systematic approach to prevent the reader from overlooking important findings. We find that our students are impressed with this method and find it useful while learning to read as well as to continue to provide high quality accurate reads during their busy clinical days. This method is introduced in the Cardiac CT Angiography Manual provided to you at no extra charge before you arrive.
We emphasize artifact recognition and methods to delineate artifact from real findings. We approach the reading of the coronary arteries in an organized fashion, emphasizing an approach that provides the reader with angiographic views to make reading more intuitive. In addition, this approach is applied to bypass graft anatomy as well. We will then take you through an evaluation of the cardiac chambers and valves, the pericardium, the great vessels and of myocardial perfusion followed by a functional analysis. Following this, we will then teach you to systematically search for common ancillary findings.
It is not acceptable to randomly read through these complex scans. Upon completion of our course, the participant will be armed with a proven systematic, sensible, intuitive and accurate approach to reading a cardiac CT scan.
